A jalk is a cross between a jog and a walk in which someone frequently switches between walking and jogging, usually because they are unable to sustain a full jog.
I wanted to go for a jog this morining but I was so tired from my work-out all I could manage was a jalk.

I jalked all the way home.
I couldn't jog the whole distance so I jalked.
The girl was jalking along the towpath.
Do you want to jalk with me?
Look at those jalkers.
He jalks to keep fit.

A deceptive form of exercise, jalking is a lazy person's jogging. The participator annouces they are "going for a jog" in order to sound impressive or athletic, but once they leave the house, lapse into a slow walk and only actually run or jog for a small percentage of the time. The name is derived from "Walking" and "Jogging"
Person 1: Hey! How was your jog!
Person 2: To tell you the truth, it was more of a jalk. I just wanted that hot new guy to think I'm in great shape.

somewhere between a fast walk and a jog. Often people practise this while crossing roads or while running late, but of course there not really running.
tends to be used as a person constantly drifts between walking and jogging. Often the person is large or unfit
