In The Mail

When one is so drunk one the most responsible thing to do is stick them in an Uber and text their roommate a shipping update (regardless of if you actually do that)

Or, when one is "In The Mail," the act of being sent home in an Uber.
After getting cut off from drinks at the blackjack table, Danny is in the mail. Someone maybe should get him in back to his hotel room.

Hey Andrew, can you make sure Danny makes it home safe tonight?
Way ahead of you. He's already in the mail. App says ETA 8 minutes.

Check's in the mail

When you have no intention of paying for something/don't believe something. People used to pay for things by check and it would take some time to arrive. If you didn't have money, you could buy something without paying, saying "the check's in the mail."
"Hey, when are you going to pay me for that weed?" "The check's in the mail, bro."
"The supreme court is going to uphold the voting rights act? Yeah right. The check's in the mail."

Check's in the mail

A mocking neg used in sports/ games against an opponent that just made an unforced error that greatly helped you or your team.

The phrase suggests that the error was actually intentional and they were attempting to "take a dive" to receive payment.
In Sports (Baseball):
*Thrown ball tips off of first basemen's glove and flies off into foul territory*

Runner as they round first heading for second: "Check's in the mail!"

Video Game (Any MOBA)
*Opponent uses an ability to grab and pull you away from a deadly situation, allowing you to use a movement ability to escape there after*

All Chat: "Check's in the mail!"

It's in the mail

It's done and dusted. We don't need to think about it anymore. It's finished. It's water under the bridge.
Hey, that problem we had the other day? It's in the mail.

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
