Hoarder 

(Adj) A word that describes anyone that feels the need to find, collect, keep, pack ANY and EVERYTHING becasue they do not know how to throw things away.

A nicely put word than Pack Rat.

These people tend to collect soo much stuff, whether it be diapers, books, poop, shoes, clothes, or hair samples that it gets very over bearing and the items in turn tend to run their life to where they don't know what to do with themselves.

Michelle: Hello? Gary? are you there?
Gary: Hey, i'm over behind the stack of newspapers and to the left of last nights food collection.

Boy: Dang Girl! How many shoes do you have up in this closet?
Girl: Oh I only have12 here, you should see my garage, I have about 300 there, but don't worry they are all in boxes.
Boy: Girl you're a hoarder of shoes.

Hoarder 

In a video games: a person that holds onto every single item of interest, piece of loot/gear for which they can find even a flimsiest justification to keep, be it a limited nature of the item, one of its' stats being 1 point better so it can be useful for a specific build, its' looks, sentimental value, a slight chance that it might be used in some quest 4 years later, funny name and etc. etc.
Always in denial and always complaining that whatever game they are playing has too limited means of storing items in terms of capacity and in terms of sorting items. Usually self proclaim themselves as collectors.

"Hoarder? I'm a collector! I have a fine collection of 500 guns and armour out of which probably over 300 aren't even worth using and another 100 I will probably never use." - half of any MMORPGFPS vidyagame playerbase.

In the context of media preservation and archival (video games, music, videos, or otherwise);

derogatory term used to describe someone who gets their hands on something super rare (sometimes one-of-a-kind) and brags about it whilst adamantly refusing to share it with the wider community.

"God, that guy's such a fuckin' hoarder. He's had that lost media for years and still hasn't shared it. Hopefully someone else finds it and comes forward."

a group or collection of many; a range from a dozen plus one to a dozen plus infinity: from the practice among hoarders and other pack rats of accumulating more items than is necessary, warranted, or even healthy. The paradox of simultaneously having too many and also not enough of a particular item or experience. Often used as hyperbole.
