Generally set up by Emma Watson (Hermione Granger from harry potter). This is a movement that asks men to help entitled rich (often white) women in there battle against the 'Patriarchy' That sadly thanks to facts is bullshit. This movement is quite insulting to men and women from the third world as it ignores India, China, and the middle east's gender inequality's. This movement is set up by the UN.

HeForShe is a campaign made first by the UN Women. Their goal is to have men and boys pledge for the change of gender equality and women's rights. They encourage them to do something about inequalities faced by women and girls. HeForShe was known to the world when Harry Potter star Emma Watson made the most effective (lit/preach) speech in 2015.

Bill: Hey Bob, did you pledge for the HeForShe campaign?

Bob: No, but I did see Emma Watson's speech. It was so lit.
Bill: Yeah.

A new word for the male feminist. Popularized after a speech by actor Emma Watson went viral, HeForShe is the global social movement initiated by UN Women that calls for men and boys to support women and girls in the fight for gender equality. Obama, Matt Damon, and many more male celebs have pledged their support of the new feminism through #HeForShe.

After watching Emma Watson's UN speech, James decided to support women and girls in the fight for gender equality as a HeForShe.
