a story or comment that has no point. the story is told with great enthusiasm. the listener waits expectantly to hear the punch line or moral of the story. when it arrives they are left feeling disappointed and deflated that they just wasted 20 minutes listening to a pointless story that is only amusing to the teller.
"I was listening to Stefanie tell me about what happened to her when she was driving home, but it just turned out to be another HAFT."

Haft is a word created by one beautiful A.R.M.Y (bts' fan), it's a mix between the word 'hard' and 'soft' , so if you're a mix of a 'hard' and a 'soft' stan, you're simply a HAFT stan .
"I think you're a haft stan"

"tf is that?"

"it's basically enjoying both hoseok's aegyo and hip thrusts"

"....oh"

Hafthor Bjornsson

Hafthor "The Mountain" Bjornsson is 7-foot Icelandic giant known best for winning World's Strongest Man 2018 and being the world record holder in the deadlift at 501 kilograms, though he has won dozens of major strongman competitions over the past decade, including Europe's Strongest Man, The Arnold Strongman Classic, and Iceland's Strongest Man. He's also taken up a career on Twitch as of recent, earning him another title as "The World's Strongest Gamer". Hafthor Bjornsson also has a notable feud with the World's Saltiest Man, Eddie Hall, who he plans to pummel in the ring in 2021.
Hafthor Bjornsson is the deadlift king.
Bro, Hafthor just did 501 kg, Eddie must be so salty right now.
Deriving from ‘have to’, or ‘have+{infinitive}’ broken down into ‘have+to+{verb}’ but minus the verb, ‘hafta’ works as a verb-modifying adverb taking the place of the modal-auxilary ‘must’ which means literally ‘to be required to __’. In colloquial speech (as opposed to ‘formal speech’ under which you would not use this word{hafta}}, it means simply to have a strong desire towards, or want for, doing {something}, with the ‘something’ usually seen through the eyes of the speaker as a *necessity* (even if in actuality it is no more than icing on the cake).

Synonyms: haveto, have to, must, ’ve to, oughtta{ought to}, wanna\wanta{want to}, gotta{got to}

See also: musta\must’ve(must have..not nonsensical ‘must of’), shoulda\should’ve{should have..not nonsensical ‘should of’}, ta\tta, -ta\-tta, t‘be

The striver is an interesting phenomenon that is seen across college campuses. In essence, the striver is an over-achiever who comes from a working or middle class family. He may be an immigrant. He may have been a slacker in HS who was "born again" into an academic wunderkind. Or he may just be an over-achiever who is keeping at it.

The striver is willing to sacrifice his social life at the expense of Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. The striver is the guy who stays at the library long after you are gone. The striver is the guy who takes 30 credits/semester and considers anything below an A/4.0 failure. The striver doesn't work on campus, he is too busy finding ways to pad his resume instead of working retail or workstudy. The striver lets his grades pay his education by applying to ten scholarships a year.

The striver is a future Soros/Fullbright/Rhodes/Gates/Marshall/etc. fellow. The striver lives to study. For the striver, their fun comes from the rewards they expect to receive in return for their diligence. Be it Law School, B-School, academia, or politics. The striver seeks to find the American Dream through academic success.
Anthony was a striver. He transfered from a TTT to an IVY and graduated in 2 years. He studied his ass off and went to Penn Law. He got a Biglaw offer. But lost it all because of an unmoderated mesasgeboard.

Successful strivers:
- Barack Obama
- Harold Koh

1. Billy hate drafted Chad OchoCinco because he knew Sam had wanted him since he is from Cincinnati. Billy already had plenty of players to fill that position but wanted to make sure Sam didn't get him.

2. Billy hate drafted Peyton Manning because he was the only good quarterback left and he knew Sam had been planning on drafting him.
