Tent cities formed around Los Angeles urban districts circa mid 2010’s - 2020’s
Phrase based off of Eric Garcetti, Mayor of Los Angeles and those who use it, usually blame the mayor for the city’s state as of recent, and for part of California’s housing crisis.
Many during the Great Depression used the word, “Hooverville” to describe the mass amounts of camps formed from displaced people during that era and “Garcettiville” has a similar connotation.
“Hey look, it’s yet another Garcettiville under that bridge!”
churchhurt is where you experience a degree of distance, pain, or judgement from your church community. Essentially, you are just unable to “find your place”. This is prevalent in the Christian community, but can be extended to other religions.
Now that I am an adult I am beginning to heal from the churchhurt that was inflicted on me as a child.
