A huge celebration when a Bill turns 17 and comes out of the closet. The celebration usually includes watching gay porn as well as participating in numerous mouse holes and other gay acts.

Combining "Gay" and "Eighties."
Used to describe the OTT fashion, music and lifestyle of the eighties, which now would be considered "Gay." Similar to that of todays "Metrosexual."
Music usually played in 80's themed bars and gay clubs. Often found at wedding receptions.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
