An uncommon amicable ending of a marriage where two people are better off as friends than partners. Pain is present, but way less bitter and sour than the counterpart (divorce). Flourishing as friends, along with their family and mutual friends is favored, hence the “F”, oppose to “D”, which represents destruction in the word, "Divorce.
PERSON #1: Tom and Mary are going through a nasty divorce. Tom actually wants me to stop talking to Mary. This sucks!
PERSON #2: I wish they were going through a Fivorce like Steve and Jennifer. They actually asked me to join them on a staycation because they want our kids to continue having play dates together.
