free friends

Somewhere you go by yourself or with another fellow loser (usually a sports bar or Irish Pub) where you can associate with people in a similar predicament and pretend you have something in common. Also, any activity you do by yourself that starts a conversation with a total stranger. This term can be applied to many things.
Patton Oswalt in "Big Fan" would go to the Giants game with his "friend" and hang out in the parking lot even though they didn't have tickets, thus....free friends among the crowd.

free friends

A different way of expressing 'friends with benefits' in a human-positive way!

Other words this can replace include fuckbuddies, sneaky links, and some other bullshit phrases that have not been invented by tiktok

Gluten-Free Friend

A gluten-free friend is a friend that sabotages every meal out with their bullshit. If a gluten-free friend senses people are having fun, they instantly become shit crippled, and ask if what they’re consuming has gluten.
We were having a great night last night when Justin got the bubble gut, and started yelling that his free range tofu had gluten in it. He totally fucked up the night; I’m putting him on the list of gluten-free friends.

free sample friendship

n. a friendship that's slightly deeper than an aquaintance but not a true friendship. This could be someone you've just met, or an old friendship that has fallen apart.
If you see someone once a week for 20 minutes... you're in a free sample friendship.

free show friendship

When two guys plan out an instance in which one hides in the closet while the other has sex with a woman. Likely to be, but not limited to, with a girl who is a slut and/or of low value. Many times, high levels of intoxication will be involved. Truly an act of great friendship.
Person 1: Did you hear? Jack and Matt planned a free show friendship at Meg's party.
Person 2: REALLY!?! That's so awesome. They are such boys.

The word 'flag' as pronounced by people with thick Belfast accents. The term is a perfect encapsulation of the disproportionate and overblown reaction to the removal of the Union Jack (as in 'de fleg') from above City Hall in Belfast. Where previously it had flown for 365 days per year, it is now flown on 17 designated days of the year - in line with many other British cities.

The event caused a portion of the Protestant community ('fleggers') to make international pricks of themselves as they proceeded to wreck the fucking place, claiming it was another erosion of a 'British' identity they perceive to have been under attack since the horrifying spectre of equality reared its head in Northern Ireland.

The word 'fleg' - and indeed 'fleggers' - fittingly describes a section of humanity unconcerned with knowledge, reality or the vagaries of the English language. Like America's tea-baggers they are ruled by instinct, fear and paranoia with a side dish of rampant bigotry and startling ignorance of the world around them.
"Wat de fuck like! The taigs got de fleg took down! Let's wreck de fuckin place! No surrender!"

"De fleg has been took down! Before ye know it there'll be a united Ireland! Attack Short Strand! God Save The Queen!"
