equitation

A specific type of english horseback riding; At a horse show or competition an equitation class is based solely on the rider. Unlike hunter classes that are based on the horse, in and Eq. class the rider must have an incredable back and leg position and a good seat to win the class. An equitation rider's horse should frame and have the correct bend. In a equitation class where riders jump the signals the rider sends to her horse must be nearly invisible, in this class judges may have their riders jump without irons and pick up a counter canter.

piss equity

The money an online poker player loses by running to the bathroom to pee during a session. True pros combat this by pissing into Gatorade bottles while continuing to play.
Noob: "I really had to pee, so I sat out on all of my tables for one minute and ran to the bathroom."

Pro: "You fish! Do you know how much piss equity you gave up by missing those 20 hands?!"

equestrian

A person who works very hard with horses and at the sport of riding horses. A good equestrian is usually a very hardworking person who is completely commited to the sport of riding and the animals(horses/ponies) that he or she rides. Often stereotyped as being snobby and rich the equestrian is usually overlooked as a person who partakes in sports/ physical activity. Equestrians need to have the concentration and ability to judge distance like a golfer, strength and stamina of a hockey player, artistic flow and ability to make a hard thing look easy and beauiful like a gymnest, and and also know where everyone around them is at all times ALL WHILE controlling a 1000lb or more animal with your hands, back, neck, shoulders, thighs, calves, legs, heels, stomach, or basically every bone/muscle in your body with the help of a 5 inch piece of metal. "Riders use their entire bodies to tell their horse what they want them to do; the way they sit, move their hands, the pressure of their legs...dosens of signals pass between horse and rider, at every moment"-Horse Power: The Road To Maclay. To be an equestrian you have to know the sport in and out and be able to work as a team with your animal. A talented equestrian knows her horse as well as she knows her best friend if not better.
Maria is a very talented equestrian, everyday she goes to the barn to ride and work with hers and other peoples horses.

Someone once told me that i wasn't a true equestrian because my parents have money, but trust me when i say that when i get to the barn my horse couldn't care less about how much money i have in the bank
