The act of making an update edit - or changing information that was previously made incompletely or incorrectly.

exitate 

Hesitating while getting one's bearings upon exiting an elevator, escalator, or other conveyance, causing gridlock for the people behind.

I hate daytrippers who exitate when they get off the train. Move to one side and figure out where you're going!

Emitate

To send an inner state outward by deliberately performing its physical gesture.

Smiling on purpose because you genuinely are happy is emitating. Smiling on purpose when you aren't is just faking.

It fills the gap between emote, which is about visible display, and imitate, which is about copying somebody else. Actors, somatic therapists and character animators all work this way, building the outward form first and letting the real feeling arrive through it.

"You are such a good actor, how do you do it? How do you perform so well?"
"I like to say I emitate well."

And he was right. The hands started shaking, and the crying caught up about ten seconds later.
