1. Person who is always in debate mode.

2. One who would argue if you said the sky is blue.

3. Person unable to converse normally.

4. One who thinks conversation is a competition.

I say, "Isn't the sky a pretty shade of blue today?"

Debaterbot responds, "Well, of course it's not REALLY blue at all. What you're seeing is light from the sun reaching your optic nerves through all the various gases in the atmosphere, notably oxygen and nitrogen. Not only gases, but particles of dust, ash, water vapor, contrails (don't get me started on contrails), bird droppings, ozone and .......... "

DebateDotOrg

A website consisting mostly of trolls, spam, and occasionally intellectual debates. After the great spambot war circa 2015, most fled to other neighboring websites, or were internally displaced. Some refugees were granted asylum at the ports of Create Debate, while others integrated into the chaotic society of Debate Island. Others yet were spotted on the burgeoning website of DebateArt.com, where prominent members still debate and troll to this day. There is less spam though.

Alternatively, this word describes the type of faux-intellectualism that narcissistic internet dweebs use to justify their horribly conceived opinions and flamewars. DebateDotOrg is a state of being that people acquire through being blown full of hot air and self-esteem issues. The so-called "alpha" folks of internet society who probably think that they're smarter than you.

Don't visit DebateDotOrg's religion forum, it'll drive you mad.

Man, stop being such a DebateDotOrg.

DebateBro

Used in online conversation to denote someone who is obnoxiously obsessed with debating others to prove their position is right. Typically abuse logical fallacies and "Ben Shapiro Tactics" to win, and will shout "DEBATE ME BRO!" at everyone, hence the name

Yesterdays' discussion of single presidential candidate in TV was not a debate, it was an egoistic debaturbation.

Debatepot

A form of honeypot designed to trap opponents in endless, exhausting debates—a server, community, or group created specifically to attract targets for prolonged argument. A debatepot might present itself as a discussion forum, a debate club, or a neutral space for exchanging ideas. In reality, it's run by people who enjoy the sport of exhausting opponents through infinite demands, shifting goalposts, and relentless engagement. Every debate is a trap: enter, and you'll never leave; argue, and you'll never satisfy; engage, and you'll never win. The debatepot is a machine for converting energy into exhaustion, passion into frustration.

Example: "The 'open discussion server' seemed ideal for testing his ideas—people with different views, willing to engage. He joined eagerly, posting his arguments, expecting dialogue. Instead, he found a debatepot: every point met with new demands, every source rejected, every conclusion contested. The engagement never ended, never progressed, never satisfied. Months later, he was exhausted, burned out, done. The debatepot had consumed his energy and given nothing back. He left; they found a new target."
