days of your

Refers to one or more fondly-looked-back-on periods in one's life when his waking hours were his to do with as he pleased, rather than having other humans with authority over him dictate how he spent his time.
Young children often bemoan da loss of their "days of your" once they have to start going to public school and thus have their free time to play and relax drastically reduced. Perhaps this issue could be greatly alleviated if we'd give some of John Holt's ideas on education a try.
