Co-pilot
A co-pilot is a buddy who you would take with you while on the prowl for chicks. Co-pilots are generally the substitute for a wingman when one is not available. A common use for a co-pilot is to distract her friends while you make your move. However, a co-pilot can't be granted the same level of trust as a wingman, in the sense that they are usually rookies and have yet to earn their wings. Therfore, co-pilots are a last resort.
Guy 1 - "hey man, I need a wingman for tongiht. You in?"
Guy 2 - "Sorry dude, I have to work early in the morning. Why don't you get your little bro to co-pilot you?

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
