British slang
Someone who (during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020) clapped loudly every Thursday night at 8pm but did not actually do anything to support the NHS.
Also, typically a staunch supporter of the political party which consistently made cuts to the NHS, resulting in its underfunding and inability to properly protect its staff with the appropriate equipment.
My neighbours are a bunch of Tory claptards.

George didn't donate to the NHS PPE crowdfunder. He's such a claptard.

Get the claptard mug.
When a person is the last left clapping in a crowd, with everybody gazing at him/her in shame.
The feedback from the crowd was great, except for the claptard who was singled out.
