A festival of Caribbean culture held in Toronto every summer (first weekend in august). It draws thousands of tourists around the world and is North America's largest street festival.

Caribana

The phenomenon which occurs when rain falls while the sun is shining, and white clouds are moving, often leading to the appearance of a rainbow.

Atmospheric: "The sky couldn't decide on a mood, settling instead on a brilliant Caribana that painted the streets in gold and mist."

Action-oriented: "We didn't bother running for cover; a Caribana was far too beautiful to hide from."

Poetic: "Under the fleeting Caribana, the white clouds raced like carnival dancers against the glowing blue backdrop."
