A movement inspired by an interest in both creating awareness of and demanding legislative action toward the problem of systemic racism and physical references immortalizing slavery.
You gonna protest tonite?
Yeah, I think so. Except with all of those Federal Officers shooting tear gas and rubber bulletts, it seems like we should be protesting our First Amendment Rights being violated rather than Statuary Abolitionism.

A person who campaigns for the abolition (= banning) of something.
A person who campaigned for the abolition of slavery is an abolitionist.

Abolitionist For Ordinary Crimes Only 

A country that has the death penalty only for extraordinary crimes, such as crimes under military law, crimes against humanity, terrorism, treason, or espionage.
There are currently seven countries classified as Abolitionist For Ordinary Crimes Only by Amnesty International: Brazil, Burkina Faso, Chile, El Salvador, Guatemala, Israel, and Peru.
