used in the same sense as yo homie
a salutation.

Man number one: Yo crunch! What's crackin' yo?
man number two: why are you talking like that?
man number one: I'm sorry.

When some one is better than gurt (yo gurt) or a response to someone saying “Yo gurt”

“WE are not saying “yo gurt” in 2025 anymore WE all say yo crunch”
