To state a made up fact to someone in the knowledge that if told with just enough conviction it will entice them to search the internet for the truth Wikipedia Google it

As soon as I finished telling him a story he was on the internet fact checking my tale, it was total wikibait.

The person at the dinner table or party with a smartphone who gets asked to fact-check the conversation on Wikipedia, Google, etc.

wikibating

When someone edits their own wikipedia page. If a wikipedia page includes so many details that only a major stalker would have written it, or it whitewashes negative aspects of a person's life, it was probably wikibated.

"Surely no one's that big a fan to know that much about Steve Sax. He's obviously been wikibating."

wikibattle

When multiple people are all trying to edit a Wikipedia page at once, usually fighting between actual information and comedy, leading the page to be different each time it was refreshed.

John changed Taylor Swift's Wikipedia page to say she was black, leading to an edit fight before it turned into a full blown wikibattle.
