Usually, characteristics that coincide with being a virgin may include appearing young, innocent, and inexperienced in the sexual sense, virginous qualities may also describe rebirth and awakening. One must however be careful when using this word as a form of slander, however, as many women are abused and even killed in some cultures if there is suspicion that they are not a virgin on their wedding day.
