Unrecovery is the freedom to be whoever we are regardless of sociopolitical acceptability and not having to conform to normative prescribed neoliberal mental health recovery standards. As coined by Recovery In The Bin
Doctors want me to conform, to have a job and a partner then I will be a happy normal person, but unrecovery let’s me howl at the moon and fight injustice, instead of accepting it.
