You cut down my tree and by tree law I will sue you for 100s of 1,000s of dollars from you.

the strip of grass between the sidewalk and the street, where you put your trash. mainly a cleveland word.

"those kids threw beer bottles all over our tree lawn again"
"don't forget to mow the tree lawn when you do the front yard"

tree lawn

a small patch of grass in front of a building or house, usually cut off from the rest of a lawn by sidewalk. Possibly called such because you could maybe fit one small tree there. similar to devil strip

a)"Yeah, that old couch is trashed. Put it out on the tree lawn, maybe someone will take it. Otherwise the garbage guys will probably pick it up."
b)"I almost forgot to mow the tree lawn."
