Traumadelic

Coined by Canadian writer and podcast host Brian James, “traumadelic“ refers to the takeover of the psychedelic renaissance by trauma culture.

Western therapy has snatched psychedelics out of the hands of the shaman and has tried to turn them from something that reveals the soul or spirit (psychedelic) into something that reveals only childhood trauma — hence my term “traumadelic.”

traumagenic

A word used to define a mental impairment or condition caused by trauma or traumatic experiences.

This word is most commonly used in the context of Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) and Other Specified Dissociative Disorder (OSDD) for sufferers to identify with (Ex: Traumagenic System).

“My name is _ and I suffer from a traumagenic condition.”

“We are a traumagenic system.”

Traumaholic

A traumaholic is someone who, often unconsciously, becomes stuck in cycles of trauma. Whether by revisiting past painful experiences, seeking out relationships, or environments that mirror old wounds.

Girl, stop texting your ex. You're acting like a full blown traumaholic.
