Thursdays are for the boys
In Afghanistan, Thursday is the end of the work week (Friday being a holy day), and Thursday night is when affluent Afghans traditionally engage in social events (similar to Friday or Saturday night in the United States). Part of the bacchanalia certain Afghans participate in is “bacha bazi,” the tradition of dressing young boys in girls’ clothes and have them dance for a group of men. Often times, these men use the boys for sexual favors. Thus the sayings "Man love Thursday" or "Thursdays are for the boys."
Abdul: Hey Hassam, do you want to take our wives on a double date this Thursday?
Hassam: Are you kidding, Thursdays are for the boys!
