the hills have eyes

the scariest shit you'll ever see.
Robert Denerstein, Rocky Mountain News
March 10, 2006:
This vivid but brutal remake of Wes Craven's 1977 cult favorite The Hills Have Eyes made me a little sick with its gore and extreme violence. I can't say the movie isn't effective at what it sets out to do, I just didn't want it done to me.

The Hills Have Eyes

A phrase coined by environmentalist when they try to persuade children not to dump litter on their hilly nature reserve. Originated from the horror story by Wes Craven called 'The Hills Have Eyes'. Environmentalists use this phrase in reference to the flesh-eating mutants in the book so that the children are too scared to dump litter because they live in fear of the mutants seeing it and going after them to eat them.
Environmentalist: Now, children, don't you go dumping any of your litter in our lovely hills because the hills have eyes - eyes to watch you! Those eyes belong to flesh-eating mutants!
Children: Aaaaah!

the hills have eyes

usually a term used whenever someone is so ugly that they look like they are from the movie, "the hills have eyes".
oh my god that girl is so ugly she looks like she is from the hills have eyes (without a mask on)

The Hills Have Eyes 3

A reference to the recently remade movies about radioactive mutants.

It is used as a comment to describe one ugly person or several gross backwards people in a neighborhood or town.
Wow, look at those mingers. What is it, The Hills Have Eyes 3 over there?
A toe rag was originally a foot wrapping used, since mediaeval times up until the mid-nineteenth century, to protect the foot from chafing by boots or shoes. As these were, quite literally, rags they weren’t usually washed, and so with use they became very smelly until they were thrown away. Because of the similarity in smell, toe rag also became the name applied to dried, salted cod or other things with a strong, unpleasant, fishy smell. It didn’t take that long before the name was applied to someone who was an obnoxious, unpleasant OIC.
1 “Socks! Those aren’t socks you smelly git, they’re toe rags!”
2 “What have you been cooking? Smells like toe rag!”
3 “I can smell ‘er fanny from ‘ere, proper toe rag.”
4 That Heale Malcolm is a right toe rag.

Eternity leave

When some resigns or retires from a job, they are on "eternity leave". This can also refer to someone who has passed away, especially someone who worked somewhere for a long time, retired/resigned, then passed away later.
Oh I'm sorry, you didn't know that Kelly is on eternity leave? She resigned and moved to Hawaii!

With regrets I would like to inform you that my boss is officially on eternity leave. I will never see or hear them again. Ever.
