A completely fabricated story about why someone is unable to do something they swore up and down they would do.

Person A: “I’ll be at next training I promise.”
Person A next day: “Guys I was attacked by a killer rat who bit off my finger so I won’t be at training.”
Person B: “Thats totally some Skullscuses.”
