Skaterism

A collection of negative traits and behaviors most often associated with skateboarders expressed, as a disregard for everything but skateboarding, including family, work, significant others, and daily hygiene.

I respect the actual skateboarding so that’s not the thing but, skaterism is a deal breaker for me.

Mike calls in to work almost everyday because his skaterism prevents him from following through on anything.

Skaterosexual : ska-tero-sex-ual (sKa-t'r0-sk'sh-l) n. A person who is sexually attracted to and/or is obsessed with skate fashion trends, but doesn't hang out with skaters or actually skate.

Synonyms : urban-metrosexual, 20 sumtin' raver/clubber, 15 sumtin' snowboarder.
