A Shoebee is what on the old Nickolodeon show, "rocket Power" was the local nickname for a tourist. Tourists were called a shoe-bee because of how they wear sneakers or socks under sandals to the beach.
Otto: Guys, squid is totally looking like a shoebee.
Squid: what? how?
Reggie: Dude, youre wearing socks under your sandals...
Squid: ooooooh.
Lower middle class persons who day trip to the Jersey Shore. The origin of "shoe bee" goes back to the 1930's when day trippers from Philly would come down to the shore and carry their lunch in shoe boxes, as was common practice at the time
I'm glad to be here in Brigantine on a Tuesday since there are no shoebees around.
Usually derogatory. A tourist at the (New Jersey) shore. He can often be identified by his pasty palor and inapprpriate clothing, e.g. black knee-socks with bobos (inexpensive footware), plaid shorts, and a shirt emblazoned with "I'm With Stupid." Etymology: said to derive from the "shoebox" in which shoobees once packed their lunches. Alternative etymology: from the refrain of popular Philadelphiamusic of 1950's and 1960's (example: "shoobee doo-wop"). Often shortened to shoob.
"Why do these f***ing shoobees have to brake at every f***ing intersection??"
I'm getting this from my Gpop and pop, but a shoebie is a South Jersey Shore expression to describe the day-trippers from Philly and NYC that would ride the train "down the shore" for the day or weekend and bring everything in a shoebox. Since the original poster used "shore" in their definition they too are probably from the South Jersey area. The trains that brought the shoebies down the shore, nor the expression shoebie, are heard much any more so its kind of cool that the expression lives on as a slightly derogatory expression for an inapproprate and unwanted tourist!

Nickname given to bales of marijuana thrown overboard or out of airplanes. Origin is reportedly from members of the USCoast Guard in the area of Southern Florida.
"Base we've got some square groupers floating outside of Miami harbor."
A sunburn or suntan focused on the left arm. It is caused by the left side of the body being the only half that gets exposed to sunlight while driving. Presumably, it would be located on the right side of the body in countries where they drive on the left side of the road.
I had a trucker's tan after driving for 10 straight hours on a sunny day.
