The pairing/shipping is based off of Sherlock on BBC which centers on Molly Hooper's more-or-less obvious crush on Sherlock and adds to the possible interest from Sherlock. Also revolves around Molly's real importance in Sherlock's life. Often the shipping is undermined by Johnlock unfairly.
