Roswaal
A major antagonist from the light novel & anime series re zero.
He is an eccentric man who dresses and speaks as a clown & is the most powerful mage in the King of Lugunica. He’s also the head of noble House Mathers, a major, longstanding house within Lugunica, holding the rank of Margrave.
He’s a major simp who can’t accept the fact this his teacher Echidna died 400 years ago. He orchestrates massive tragedies such as allowing the white whale & the witches cult to attack Natsuki Subaru to try and use him
as a tool to bring back Echidna.
He blindly followed his Tome of Wisdom, a book given to him by Echidna which showed him what to do in order to achieve his desired future without question.
He was forced to genuinely support Natsuki Subaru & the Emilia Camp after his Tome of Wisdom was burnt by ram in a fire.
Whilst he now acts as a supporting character, he hasn’t given up on him final goal.
