Reading But Not Replying

RBNR is used in a chatzone where someone reads a message and doesn't reply.
Here's an example of someone Reading But Not Replying in a chat;

19:01 Dan: Hello? (READ 19:02)
19:03 Dan: I know your there:L (READ 19:03)
19:04 Dan: rbnr? (UNREAD)

burden of replying

Like the burden of proof, but for instant messaging. When two people (usually acquaintances and not close friends) are messaging each other, the burden of replying is on the person who did not send the last reply. In other words, that person is the one who has to decide whether they want to continue the conversation or not, and if they do, they must be the one to send a reply or the conversation is over (unless the other person double texts).
Mary: When's the last time you talked to Joe?
Sue: Oh, I texted him this morning but he stopped replying so I think he was busy or something. I'm just going to wait until he texts first; the burden of replying is on him, after all.
Mary: True.

Bill O'Reilly-ing

1. to unnecessarily defame or put down another person for no other reason than that it gets you attention

2. to lie with a total discord for truth

3. to shout someone down or talk over them, despite having nothing worthwhile to say.
Immature people tend to start Bill O'Reilly-ing instead of forming a real thought or opinion.

West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
Some grebo passed with Sabbath playing on his stereo.
The Poppies are at no. 17? God, a grebo band in the charts!
They're playing nu-metal now, bloody grebos!
