Pulling a DEAN

Deaning or pulling a DEAN is to disappear, ghost, or abandon someone/something for a long period of time ( 6 years) despite consistently promising that you or it are coming soon.

The process of Deaning someone is often elongated by a prolonged fall down the stairs on Instagram live or any retelling/reposts of the aforementioned event.
Man A: hey has that girl still not texted you back?
Man B: yeah she's really pulling a dean on me.

Woman A: Dean said we'd get the album next year right?
Woman B: Yeah but that was 5 years ago.
Woman A: Wow he really deaned us huh.

Netizen A: *reposts video of Dean falling down the stairs
Netizen B: oh no! Now the albums gonna get deaned for another year!

Pulling a Dean

To feign surprise or question something where it is glaringly obvious that what is being said cannot be construed in any other way. The person 'pulling a Dean" does so when a minuscule error in wording gives him/her the justification for questioning what is obvious to 99.99% of the population.
Oh my hat! I have to tell you about the time Craig was pulling a Dean. The other day I told him that my car was running low on diesel and that we needed to pull into a petrol station. And he said to me 'oh but I thought you needed diesel?"
