An act nearly identical to shitposting but usually involving pirates in its memes.
Person 1: "Hey so what did you do last night, Jon?"
Person 2: "Not much, just watched some TV and-?"
Pirateposter: "Yarg! I have just been found guilty of 7 accounts of tax fraud and 2 accounts of contraband and am having me cove plundered by the police as part of the investigation."
Person 2: "This is why we don't talk anymore, Steve, not since your OTHER Pirateposting incident at the funeral"
Used euphemistically by both political spectrums to describe a flowers and cookies protest against a variety of social issues but in reality it's an excuse to be non-peaceful, riot, obstruct and dissent against public opinion.
Look at all those Canadians doing their Peaceful Protesting against vaccine mandates as they assault homeless shelters, dance and desecrate war memorials, blast airhorns constantly and take dumps on people's lawns. Good thing it's peaceful so no one gets hurt or has to take responsibility.
Protesting doesn't really do anything, it's always going to end up being someone other than the protestors in charge at the end of the day, and that person is always going to try and calm them. What's the point? It's a waste of everyone's time and nothing changes.
The people in charge along with everybody who is not in charge and also not part of the protests laugh at protestors. At least everybody not protesting is getting something accomplished that day, or those days (and nights).
