When you and a friend are within earshot of each other and text each other but one or both of your phones are on silent you say phonesnap loud enough that they hear you and check their phone. word taken from the snap heard when you close your phone.
During study hall you and (enter generic name) are are few feet away from each other. while you are talking to (enter second generic name) first generic name says phonesnap you check your phone and reply to the text.
