Pathironic

A Portmanteau of 'Pathos' and 'Ironic'. It is meant to express the idea of a sorrowful, or mournful display of ironic conditions, that elicit no sense of joy or pleasure, but rather leave the one experiencing the feeling devoid of any sardonic or humorous elements, that are often the byproduct of ironic circumstance.
The height of pathirony and the pathironic emotional state can be described by referencing the story of Lucifer, originally Helel, whom was named "light-bringer". The covering cherub of God, the most beautiful of created beings. He promised Eve enlightenment, but only brought her darkness. An angel of light whom turned to the darkness, and brought with him suffering everywhere he went, an adversary in whom we find no comfort or light; only the darkness. Even those whom he leads astray with his enlightenment, end up in the outer darkness, isolated from God. How deeply unsettling and pathironic this feeling is.

Foot prisons

Socks. Annoying, sweat-causing, non-barefoot enducing, everyday socks.
The first thing I do when I take off my shoes, is rip off the foot prisons I had to wear inside them. That's why I prefer flip flops, even in winter!
