Ortava

Ortava is the pursuit of meaningful outdoor experiences through learning, adventure and time spent in wild places. It represents a way of exploring the outdoors with purpose — building confidence, developing skills and gaining real experience rather than simply passing through places.

The word is associated with high quality guiding, navigation, mountain training and shared outdoor experiences that leave people more capable, connected and inspired than when they started.

Ortava is about earning experiences properly — through knowledge, challenge, respect for the environment and a genuine connection to the outdoors.

That wasn’t just a guided walk — it was a proper Ortava experience. We came back more confident, learnt new skills and saw the mountains differently.
