It’s hardly urbanized, its people live old-fashioned lifestyles and they mainly speak Hawaiian, not English. You’ll also need permission from the Robinson family to visit Niihau. They own the place.

Ask anyone in the other 7 islands: 99%+ of the time, they’ll say they have never visited Niihau. That’s why it’s nicknamed “The Forbidden Isle”.
