Nadering is when the media or opposing side attacks a third party candidate in a
presidential race for trying to spoil a race for the side they support, as usually the candidate they are supporting and the Third Party candidate they are attacking will have similar views. The Term comes from Ralph Nader, an Activist, Lawyer and
environmentalist from D.C who ran with the Green Party in 2000. Some in the
Democratic Party and the media blamed Nader for costing Al Gore votes in the state of Florida, which If gore had won would have not only won the state for him but the election as a whole. Nader has denied the claims.
