Effort: A determined attempt that is either physical and mental, which is done to achieve the purpose of something, someone, or yourself. Something that is uncertain to work; succeed; when something serves its desired purpose.

I attempt to achieve many purposes with paid attempt, but I don't succeed until I have achieved my own purpose.

Attempt 151 

The run where Jan from PokemonChallenges (twitch.tv/PokemonChallenges) beat Pokemon Emerald Kaizo! Also known as the Mythical or Mew run, it produced a lot of Pokemon that were crucial to beating gym leaders, bosses, the Elite Four and Champion.

The term used to define Xereiki's many failed manhunt attempts against a single hunter, Superbri212, with many of them ending in hilarious fashion. His repeated failure is documented in the hilarious video "Minecraft Manhunt: Xereiki Death Montage", which can be found on YouTube.

The new, corrected, optimistic, and success inducing version of the idiom "trial and error."

Some of the few individuals who stop to analyze language and think about what humans are really doing, really not doing, and perhaps should be doing, realized that the idiom trial and error induces failure, and they have corrected it to "attempt it and succeed."

Attempt number two to get out the door!

Da remark dat you slightly apologetically tell da occupants of a home or business after you'd unexpectedly had to dash back inside after initially leaving because you'd realized dat you'd forgotten something, such as to sign/pick up/drop off paperwork, mention an additional important fact, either retrieve something of yours dat you'd left behind or return someone else's item dat you'd accidentally kept wif you when you'd headed out da door da first time, etc.

Store employee,calling from door of hardware store: Hey, Dude --- you forgot yer sun-hat on the counter!
Me, hurriedly turning back in and clapping said headwear back on my head: Ah, thanks so much --- prish-ee-yayt that --- attempt number TWO to get out the door!
