Mental Bandwidth
noun / adj.
A person’s capacity for sustained attention or stimulation at any given moment modeled on actual bandwidth (data capacity), but for your brain instead of your wifi. It’s not caused by being online, it just gets exposed by it: chronic scrolling, algorithm feeds, and infinite content trained everyone’s attention span down to nothing, so now even non-phone things movies, books, conversations, one task at a time max out the connection. Low mental bandwidth just means your brain can’t process much before it starts buffering, whatever the source.
