Rap music produced and/or promoted with the intention of going viral and becoming a meme. Can refer to a single song, or to the entire identity of the artist. Most commonly distributed on the internet via youtube and often uses humor and subtle self-parody. Notable examples include the south korean artist PSY with his viral music video "Gangnam Style". Another example is the South African rap group Die Antwoord whose fame became viral after the release of their video "Zef Side" on youtube.
