Madeline is a train wreck around her crush, and she'd never tell them she liked them. She has a soft spot for animals and would prefer to spend all her days with them. Madeline is always there for her friends, and puts them above herself. She goes through a lot, but she can never ask for help herself. I think Madeline is beautiful on the outside, but her personality is what shines most about her. Madeline, you are a beautiful person, and I hope you will see it one day.

Madeline
Madeline is a cute, nerdy, and amazingly intelligent girl. She’ll tell you that she’s fat and ugly, and she’ll want you to go along with it but you know she’s actually gorgeous. She’s nerdy and wants to learn everything she can. She’s almost always busy - with sports, music, art, honors classes, and volunteer work - but she never fails to make time for her friends and family. She values them very much. She can act mean but she has a truly big heart and cares so much about even the smallest things. She’s the kind of friend who you can call at 3am and she will pick up the phone ready to give you advice. When you’re in a stressful situation she’ll have a mental breakdown for you, because that’s how much she cares about you.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
