Lunchpin

The central person in a group of friends or co-workers whom decisions for going out to eat revolve around, and without whom no decision can be reached.
Paul is the lunchpin of our team -- if he doesn't choose what restaurant we're going to, we won't go anywhere.

Unsure if this is regional. My crew in DC used this nonstop, but never heard in in the places I've lived since: Chicago and New York.

Please send me an email if you've heard it elsewhere.
Yo, your boy Juarez was lunchin' last night. He smoked a whole blunt of ill and tried to jump out the window of Shaniqua's window (she's on the 15th floow). But he was so fucked up he couldn't even figure out how to unlock the window. Damn.

Lunching

This word was very popular in and around the Washington DC area. I first heard the word circa 1985 in high school. Veriable definition. Could be crazy, high, insane, tripping, pissed or thousands of other meaning. Definition is dependent upon the context. Example
"My friends mom sold me some bomb weed and then tried to get with me?! THAT CHICK IS LUNCHING!"

A word derived from the stoner-culture. It means to act stupid, or do something stupid. It also can mean to be burnt, meaning you are slow or blank, because you're zoned or high.

It is DEFINITELY regional! Me and my crew from DC used it religiously. Once I moved to Miami (and now other parts of Florida) people had NO CLUE what the word was. No one from down here has ever heard of it!

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
