Lovey Effect

The "Lovey Effect" occurs when a man realizes that a woman previously viewed as a sexless old crone is actually quite bangable. This usually happens at about age 40. The name is derived from "Lovey" Howell from Gilligans Island. When you watched the show as a kid you thought she was like 80. Then as an adult you realize there were three good options on that island.

Dude 1 - "Bro I went to our 20th HS reunion and lemme tell you, that librarian that always broke our balls was there... I never realized she's actually pretty damn hot! The "Lovey Effect" for real!"
Dude 2 - "bro she totally worked my junk by the card catalogue senior year, but I was too ashamed to admit it at the time!"

The Fat Chick Love Effect

When a guy is nice to a fat (or ugly) chick who is usually ignored or unliked by other guy. The fat chick sees it as the guy liking her and is immediately infatuated with him.

Applies to other situations where someone is ignored, is given attention and then falls in love with the person giving them attention.

Bill: Hey, hows it going?

Fat chick (in head): OMG! He's speaking to me! He must like me! And he's so hot too! I love him!

Bill (in head): Shit! I shouldn't have said anything, I think she's experiencing the fat chick love effect.
