It’s a bad word that germans used against immigrants with a southern appearance especially the Middle East, Turks, North Africans, Iranians and Afghans. Today we use it among us, just like when black people call other black people the n-word.

It was originally a slur to discriminate southlanders. Since around the 1990s southlanders in Germany are using the word Kanake/Kanacke (or in short Kenek) to identify themselves similar like black people in america with the N-word.

The Kanker Sisters painted their toenails with bright red nail polish and then made Ed Edd n Eddy play footsies with them while the Eds screamed in agony.
