JPC

An acronym for "Japanese Popular Culture", including anime, tokusatsu, manga, light novels and Japanese video games. The term is primarily used in an academic context, however can be used within the otaku subculture to refer to their (or rather, our) particular interests. I find it to be particularly useful as, unlike terms like APC, it can also include tokusatsu.

"My main interests are linguistics, entomology and general JPC."

They're totally obsessed with all things Japanese and aren't too keen on Western stuff or other cultures. They'll lash out at anyone who tries to mention anything unrelated to Japanese culture.
