jaladhi is a Sanskrit word for 'ocean'. It is a combination of two words 'jal' (meaning 'water') and 'adhi' (meaning 'in abundance').

Trivia: The word 'Jaladhi' appears in the Indian National Anthem and the Hanuman Chalisa (a widely famous devotional song based on Lord Hanuman)
'jaladhi laaghi gaye achraj naahi' (Sanskrit to English translation: '(He) crossed the ocean which is not very surprising (for someone like him)'
