Itjustgoesup

## Itjustgoesup

**Itjustgoesup** *(noun / adjective / market phenomenon)*

A stock that appears to have temporarily opted out of the normal rules of the market.

Used when a ticker continues grinding, ripping, or casually making new highs regardless of the broader market regime, macro news, sector weakness, valuation concerns, bad vibes, gravity, or repeated predictions that “this has to come back down.”

Most commonly observed when the rest of the market is selling off while one particular stock simply refuses to participate.

**Symptoms may include:**

* Green while everything else is red.
* Dips that mysteriously last four minutes.
* Bears repeatedly declaring the top.
* Relative strength that stops making logical sense.
* Every pullback becoming someone else’s entry.
* The phrase “surely it can’t keep doing this” immediately preceding another +5%.
* Complete disregard for whatever market regime you thought mattered.

**Important:** Itjustgoesup does **not** mean the stock will literally go up forever. It describes the temporary and psychologically infuriating state where the market has seemingly decided that one ticker is exempt from gravity.

**See also:** relative strength, momentum, price discovery, stubborn bastard, market regime violation, “why is this still green?”
**Example:**
“QQQ is getting smoked, biotech is mixed, yields are up, and Moderna is green again.”

“Yeah. MRNA has a severe case of **itjustgoesup**.”

murderhobo

In a tabletop game, a murderhobo is a player who murders NPCs indiscriminately. This is normally derogatory, referring to a player who totally ignores quests, dialog, backstory, trade, world building etc.

The term is most common with Dungeons and Dragons, but it can be applied to most RPGs where the player is allowed to kill most quest-giving NPCs and NPC traders. E.g. Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Divinity original sin.
