A HubbyBoy proudly hyphenates his last name after marriage as a display of reverence and equality. In advanced cases, the family’s children are given the mother’s maiden name. This serves the dual purpose in his demonstrating fealty to her, as well as accounting for the high likelihood that some or all his children are not his genetic progeny. Forever a student of his mother wife’s tutelage and guidance, he makes sure he “asks the boss” before making plans or buying anything. The HubbyBoy knows the sacrifices he has made for his mother wife make him a more refined and gentlemanly "real man.” He leaps at every opportunity to hold or carry her purse.
