Hallwayed

The act of running, walking, skipping, or otherwise utilizing a hallway for physical activity in order to occupy your body while thinking deeply about something or talking on the phone.

While attempting to write a short story for her school's literary magazine, she hallwayed for several minutes while listening to her iPod, in order to come up with a good idea.

During his 90-minute phone call with his girlfriend, he hallwayed extensively, even using the stairs in order to hallway on other floors.

Hallway Crush

That one fine ass person that you’ll see in the hallways of school that you lowkey have mad feelings for but can never get the courage nor opportunity to talk to them. You don’t even know their name yet they live in your head rent free. You’ve probably imagined scenarios of them. You’ll wonder wether or not the feelings are reciprocated. You’re not sure if they fw you because they look at you and sometimes smile at you, but at the same time they don’t bother adding your socials or even initiate a simple conversation.

I still remember that fine girl that used to look at me and smile in the hallways. I never knew her name but she was fine af. She’s my hallway crush

Hallway Hello Friend

Someone you know who isn't really your friend, but who you say hello to when you see them pass by. This term usually defines someone who you don't really know that well or who you don't really hang out with, but is someone who you would greet in passing.

Person 1: "Kelly Smith. Do you know her?"
Person 2: "Sorta. She was more of a hallway hello friend"

Hallway Chirp

A Hallway Chirp is a phenomenon that occurs in the dwellings of African-American people. It's a series of beeping sounds in an interval of several seconds that the said African-American occupants seems to get used to or not to hear at all.

*beep*

Mike: Was that the smoke alarm? Dude you gotta change the battery.

Jayden: that noise wasn't the smoke alarm, that was the Hallway.

*Beep*

Jaiden: It always makes that sound. It's a Hallway Chirp.
